Made from pharmaceutical-grade beeswax blended with naturally derived waxes, it gives you the luminous optical qualities of wax without needing heated tools, electricity, or specialist equipment.

Straight from the 50ml aluminium tube, Mars Black handles like a smooth paste for bold coverage and sculptable marks. Thin it with water for soft, watercolour-like washes, glazing, and tonal layering. It dries fast to the touch as water evaporates, then continues curing as wax crystals coalesce, allowing you to rework early layers with a damp brush. For extra durability and scrub resistance, heat set and fuse the cured paint using a hair dryer, heat gun, or pastry torch.
