Rublev Colours Blue Ridge Violet Hematite is a natural red iron oxide (PR102) sourced from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. With very high iron content and a plate-like, micaceous particle structure, it produces a deep brown-red mass tone with a subtle violet cast, perfect for earthy reds, muted violets, and rich neutrals.

This pigment is valued for its opacity, excellent covering power, and dependable permanence across oil, acrylic, and watercolour applications. It is also a strong absorber of UV light, making it a reliable choice for durable colour mixes.
