Rublev Colours Dry Pigment – Cadmium Orange (PO20) 100g is a brilliant, high-chroma orange made from cadmium zinc sulfoselenide (cadmium sulfoselenide; CdS/CdSe). Produced by co-precipitating cadmium and selenium compounds and then calcining at high temperature to form a partially crystalline structure, this pigment delivers the classic cadmium look: strong opacity, excellent tinting power, and outstanding permanence.
Cadmium Orange was developed to provide stable orange-to-red shades where earlier pigments struggled with fading or weakness. It disperses well, produces clean mixtures, and is valued anywhere you need a reliable, saturated orange—from traditional oil painting to custom paint making and coloured grounds.
