Rublev Pale Drying Oil is a fast-drying, pale linseed oil medium made from well-settled, filtered raw linseed oil pressed from selected North American flax seed. The oil is gently heated in closed kettles to slightly polymerise it, then finished with the scientific addition of driers to help oil paint films set up reliably and evenly. It meets ASTM D 260, Type 1 and Federal Specification TT-L-190.
Use Pale Drying Oil to speed the drying of oil colours without the risk of overloading your paint with separate liquid driers. Add a small amount to tube paint, grinding oil, or your painting medium when you want faster set-up, improved workflow between layers, and a dependable dry down. It is a practical substitute for traditional "black oil" and harsh standalone driers.

Studio note
Oil-soaked rags and paper towels can self-heat and pose a fire risk. Store used rags in a sealed, air-tight metal container or keep them water-dampened until disposal.
